Scythes

Scythes – a traditional tool for effective and environmentally friendly grass cutting. Our range includes high-quality Austrian scythes from the proven manufacturer Schröckenfux, which has more than 400 years of experience. All scythes are hand-peened, which guarantees their exceptional lightness. One of our most popular models is the Austrian scythe Fux 2010, which stands out thanks to its curvature for maximum mowing efficiency. For scythers looking for a versatile solution, the Hartstahl model is the ideal choice, while for beginners we recommend the FUX model. We also offer a durable bush scythe and a scythe for left-handed users.

Which scythe should you buy?

Before buying a scythe, you should consider several factors, especially the correct blade length. The choice of blade length depends on the type of vegetation you intend to mow, and the condition of the scyther should also be taken into account. As a general rule, the older, longer and drier the grass, the shorter the scythe blade should be. Short 60 cm scythes are suitable for confined spaces or for mowing along walls or trees. With a 70 or 80 cm scythe, you can easily mow even larger gardens or meadows.

It doesn't end with the scythe

Other equipment that a scyther cannot do without is a whetstone, which is used for sharpening during mowing, and a whetstone holder.
