Rasiershnittsense - The scythe for left-handed people is designed for those who have tried mowing with a traditional right-handed scythe and cannot get used to this movement, feeling significant discomfort. If you are left-handed and a complete beginner, we recommend purchasing a standard scythe that cuts from right to left. For most left-handed people, the traditional way of holding a scythe is not a problem.

For practical reasons, scythes with the opposite cutting direction did not exist in the past, because when mowing in a group, it is necessary for the grass to always fall onto the already mowed area. If you want to share the charm of mowing in a group, we recommend that you do not purchase this scythe.

Attention! The scythe cannot be mounted on a standard snath, but only on a snath for left-handed users.

The 70 cm scythe is versatile for mowing grass in a wide variety of terrains and is suitable for most mowers.

Additional services

Although the scythes leave the factory with a sticker saying mähfertig, i.e. ready for mowing, this is not entirely true. The scythes are machine-peened and coated with a protective varnish. The Czech term sekání, meaning chopping, is more appropriate for working with this type of scythe.

To ensure that you enjoy mowing and do not exert yourself unnecessarily, it is necessary to remove 0.5–1 cm of the protective coating along the entire blade on both sides and then hand-peen the scythe.
